This topic is always confused to me:

if a 7 month old get in contact with measles, she should receive the vaccine if less than 3 days of exposure and can get immunoglobulin till 6 days after exposure? (if less than 6 months get the immunoglobulin?)

if a 7 month old get in contact with varicella, should get the immunoglobulin or the vaccine?

RE: measles, you’re right – vaccine if within 3 days, MIG if within 6.

RE: varicella, the vaccine is not given before 1 year of age.  VZIG is given to exposed preemies and infants whose mothers developed varicella very late (5 days before, 2 days after birth), or to very high risk, immunosuppressed people.

    Hope that helps.
